1. a. Give a breakdown of the major orogenic events recorded in Africa [8 marks]
   b. Distinguish between the crations and the mobile belts. [7 marks]
2. a. List and locate on a map of Africa all the positions of important nuclei of ancient rocks  [10 marks]
   b. Give a brief account of the general geology of the Rhodesian cratonic nuclear  [5 marks]
3. a. On the sketch map of African locate all the cratons that resulted after the Kibaran Orogenesis [8 marks]
   b. Mention the regions that were affected by the Hercynian and Acadian Orogeneses and show their locations on a map of Africa.  [7 marks]
4. a. Enumerate all the rifting events that occurred in Africa since the early permian times  [7 marks]
   b. Highlight the related events that gave rise to any of the 4 mentioned in (4a) above  [8 marks]
5. a, Mention the exposed infra Cambrian mid Palaeozoin Basins of African.   [5 marks]
   b. Describe the structure of the coastal basins of Garbon and Congo.  [10 marks]
6. a. Give a classical examples of a modern continental rift system in Africa.  [6 marks]
   b. Outline the major mineral resources of Niger Republic .  [9 marks]
